The course of true love never runs smooth, particularly when it's set against the turbulent backdrop of the 1960s Space Race. This is the premise of the affectionate and nostalgic new rom-com Fly Me to the Moon, which stars Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum as the quintessential chalk-and-cheese couple.
Johansson plays marketing administrator Kelly who seeks to revive NASA's public image as the Apollo 11 prepares for launch. She concocts a scheme to fake the moon landings and win over the crowds. The problem is that she has to convince NASA director Cole (Tatum) to go along with it, and before long, they develop a mutual attraction.
Fly Me to the Moon is directed by Sabrina and Riverdale helmer Greg Berlanti and promises to hit the sweet spot for those eternal romantics. The film was previewed for Unlimited members and we've rounded up some of their reactions.
Really enjoyed this one, great chemistry between Tatum and Johansson. Plenty of laughs and a superb soundtrack. This is a movie that should be seen on the big screen. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a lovely film! The old fashioned romance and screwball comedy timings, Johansson and Tatum at the top of their form and a brilliant as ever turn from Jim Rash.

We loved the film! The iconic footage and audio, the amazing VAB (I’ve actually visited the building!) and the retro styling alone is cool as hell. That launch on the big screen 🤩 But Ray Romano stole the show for me - very touching performance.

I absolutely loved this, I'm a sucker for any film about NASA and the moon landings and this was so much fun, a super cast and some hilarious moments, and a lush score by @DANIELPEMBERTON as well!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Great fun. Like a cross between an alternate history movie and a Rock Hudson/ Doris Day Romcom. Cast was uniformly great though i think the chemistry between Johansson & Tatum could have been stronger.
