Claire Foy stars as Helen, a woman who has recently lost her father and channels her grief into an unlikely friendship with a hawk named Mabel. The film, adapted from a memoir of the same name by Helen MacDonald, also stars Brendan Gleeson as Helen’s father, and will be released at Cineworld on 23rd January.

One of the key themes in H is for Hawk, connecting with nature as a form of healing, resonated with Unlimited members.
Very moving. It was an interesting exploration of dealing with loss and connecting with wildlife. Beautiful simple ending.

One thing is for sure, there is humanity at the heart of this story that will strike a chord with everyone. As Andy says, this is one not to sleep on as we enter into award season – with Unlimited you can watch them all.
Gorgeous story, and one that I hope gets the love it deserves in a busy film season

As Joseph says, H is for Hawk captures the highs and lows of life and even the singular experience of grieving someone who has died.
Loved the story of Helen+Mabel in #HisForHawk. Plenty of emotional moments both funny and sad, and incredible flying/hunting scenes. An excellent first #UnlimitedScreening for me and my girlfriend. Would give the film 8/10. Hoping it gets lots of love when it fully releases.
