Bottoms is the amusing and empowering new comedy from director Emma Seligman and co-writer/star Rachel Sennott. The movie centres on two lesbian friends who inadvertently create a fight club and end up uniting the ostracized factions of their high school.
Seligman and Sennott, herself a noted comedian, first collaborated on the acclaimed and offbeat Shiva Baby. They now infuse their signature indie sensibility into Bottoms, which is populated with memorable characters who consistently take us by surprise. Plus, the nostalgic soundtrack (including Avril Lavigne) is a real belter.

So so funny, absolutely loved it! Made me so nostalgic of those 2000s high school comedies (but with a crazy streak 😂)

Very funny, Rachel Sennott is a real star and the whole thing was brilliantly crazy and unpredictable. The scatological comedy is back in a big way this year with this, No Hard Feelings & Joy Ride, and the girls are absolutely bossing it.

Was waiting to watch it for so long! Brilliantly written and well casted. A funny, great high school satire. Probably the best comedy of the year.

Lived up to my hype. I’m a big fan of coming of age movies and this knocked it our the park. It’s so weird and funny and violent. Ayo Edebiri continues to smash 2023.

I loved it, absolutely bonkers and I had a great time!
