Cowabunga! You can now book your tickets for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem at Cineworld. The movie, released on July 31st, puts an animated spin on the classic comic book franchise, only this time, it's got comedy supremos Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg on scripting duties.
Just as significantly, director Jeff Rowe is behind the camera. He's the man behind 2021's acclaimed and inventive family adventure The Mitchells versus the Machines, so already, the new Ninja Turtles movie has some impressive pedigree behind it.
The premise is as follows: After years of being sheltered from the surface world in the sewers of New York City, four Turtle brothers set out on a quest to be accepted as normal teenagers through acts of heroism. With the aid of their human friend April O'Neil, the brothers' biggest challenge puts them in the crosshairs of a mysterious crime syndicate and an army of mutants.
Youngsters Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon voice our pizza-loving heroes Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael, respectively. The seriously impressive supporting voice cast includes Jackie Chan as Splinter, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, Seth Rogen himself as Bepop, John Cena as Rocksteady and Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko.
