Skadoosh! Kung Fu Panda 4 high-kicks its way into Cineworld in time for Easter and reunites us with Jack Black's loveable martial arts master Po.
In his latest adventure, Po must leave the tranquil Valley of Peace behind and seek out his successor to the role of Dragon Warrior. This brings him into conflict with a dangerous new enemy that is singularly capable of rekindling Po's old enemies.
Expect the usual family-friendly mixture of food, fighting and spiritual enlightenment in the latest instalment of the colourful and action-packed franchise. And with several new characters due to be introduced, you won't be lacking memorable faces. Here's who they are.
The Chameleon
Voiced by Viola Davis
Po's new nemesis The Chameleon is a sorceress who can transform into his old rivals. This includes the nefarious Tai Lung (Ian McShane), the snow leopard whom Po helped banish in the very first Kung Fu Panda movie. Prepare to feel old, franchise aficionados – that was back in 2008.
The Chameleon is voiced by the brilliant Viola Davis, Oscar winner for Fences and the star of films as diverse as The Help and The Suicide Squad.
Zhen
Voiced by Awkwafina
Upon leaving the Hidden Valley, Po finds that he must navigate strange and exciting new landscapes. His main guide is Zhen the Corsac fox, a thief who is voiced by quick-witted comedian Awkwafina. She also voiced Scuttle in the recent Little Mermaid reboot.
Han
Voiced by Ke Huy Quan
Yes, Short Round has officially been initiated into the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Newly minted from his Oscar win for Everything Everywhere All At Once, Ke Huy Quan now voices Han, a Sunda pangolin who is the leader of a den of thieves.
The Rabbits
These guys look like incidental characters but who could resist cute bunnies that turn on a dime into something more fearsome? No doubt they'll help Po in his battle against The Chameleon.
