These 7 KPop Demon Hunter scenes fill us up like Soda Pop – and we can’t wait to relive them with £2 Family Films

Mira, Rumi and Zoey from Kpop Demon Hunters eating ramyeon.

The obsession with KPop Demon Hunters is still going strong. Since its release last year, the animated K-pop fantasy has become a global fan favourite, with hit songs, unforgettable fight scenes, and a devoted fandom helping turn it into a phenomenon. Its breakout anthem ‘Golden’ even went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

KPop Demon Hunters follows HUNTR/X – Rumi, Mira and Zoey – a world-famous K-pop girl group who secretly battle demons between sold-out performances. Using the power of music, the trio protect the Honmoon, a mystical barrier keeping demons out of the human world. Their ultimate mission? To create the Golden Honmoon, a final seal powerful enough to banish demons forever.

Now, KPop Demon Hunters is returning to cinemas this summer for a special series of sing-along screenings – and tickets cost just £2. Whether you’re a longtime fan or discovering HUNTR/X for the first time, it’s the perfect chance to experience the music, action, and chaos on the big screen.

To celebrate, we’re looking back at some of the most iconic, emotional, and scene-stealing moments from KPop Demon Hunters.

"Why do they always interrupt our snacking?!"

On board their private jet en route to perform a concert, the HUNTR/X girls begin to notice something seriously off about the cabin – they’re demons. And worse, they’ve interrupted the group mid-meal.

“Ugh, I didn’t even get to finish my ramyeon,” Mira groans.

“Why do they always interrupt our snacking?!” Rumi complains.

Their flight erupts into chaos as the girls launch into ‘How It’s Done’, an electrifying mid-air battle against the demons. Between their badass combat skills and enough turbulence to destroy the cabin, Huntr/x still manages to make it to the concert right on time.

Saja Boys perform ‘Soda Pop’

A dreamy rival K-pop group explodes onto the scene with their irresistibly catchy hit, ‘Soda Pop’. Full of charm and charisma, the five members instantly draw a huge crowd during their flash mob performance. But, oh wait, yes – they’re actually demons! The performance marks the beginning of the Saja Boys’ plan to steal HUNTR/X’s fans and take over the spotlight. Shh… And don’t tell anyone the song is actually about stealing souls…

"The leather has betrayed us!"

After HUNTR/X quickly cottons on that the Saja Boys are in fact demons, they follow them. But their cover is busted when Jinu, Saja Boys’ lead singer, calls them on stage of their variety show, encouraging them to arrive on stage coming down slides. The girls are dressed head to toe in leather, which causes their dramatic slide entrance to be hindered, making a strange squeaky sound and moving at incredibly slow speed.

Rumi soars during ‘Golden’

HUNTR/X’s latest single has already become a phenomenon — fast-tracked for release by Rumi, who hopes its power will finally create the Golden Honmoon and seal the demons out of the human realm forever. At the height of the concert, in a moment of pure pop-star fantasy, Rumi grabs hold of a glowing golden ring and launches into the air above thousands of screaming fans as the magical barrier begins forming across the stadium in shimmering waves of light.

The epic bathhouse showdown

The Saja Boys lure the demon hunters into a men’s bathhouse, where an ambush awaits. A massive horde of demons erupts from every corner, launching the girls into an explosive all-out battle. During the fight, Rumi’s suit is torn, exposing the demon markings she’s desperately tried to hide. Jinu discovers the truth about her half-demon identity, but instead of revealing her secret, he quietly helps her cover it up.

Jinu and Rumi's "date"

Rumi asks for Jinu’s help in ensuring HUNTR/X wins the Idol Awards, believing the victory will finally complete the Honmoon, sever Gwi-Ma’s hold on the human world, and banish the demons forever. Faced with an impossible choice, Jinu must decide where his loyalties truly lie — remain loyal to the demons, or help the very group he was sent to destroy in the hope of saving himself.

Rumi’s demon pattern reveal

At the Idol Awards, HUNTR/X are set to perform ‘Golden’ after deciding not to sing “Takedown” because of the tension it caused within the group. But during the show, demons sent by Jinu trick Mira and Zoey into leaving Rumi alone. Two other demons disguise themselves as the girls and convince Rumi to perform ‘Takedown’ instead. In the middle of the performance, Rumi’s demon markings are revealed to everyone. Shocked and overwhelmed, she runs offstage and finds the real Mira and Zoey, who feel hurt and betrayed after discovering she hid her demon side.
