This year was our biggest-ever year for Unlimited screenings – in fact, we broke our record with more than 40 screenings throughout the last 12 months. It was a truly incredible year for Cineworld Unlimited members with a host of diverse preview screenings, ranging from multiversal madness to hilarious romcoms.
We've curated some of our favourite reactions from some of the year's biggest Unlimited screenings. Scroll down to find out what they are.
1. Till
what a way to start the year! incredibly powerful and challenging film, centred around a magnetic performance from Danielle Deadwyler. like the original photos, #Till was the last thing you'd want to see, but so important not to away from it.
— ObiMoo πππ (@_ObiMoo) January 2, 2023
2. Empire of Light
Really thought provoking, loved the fact you had no idea how the story would play out. Everything about the film was perfect in my mind, to tell a story that was provocative, soul searching and informative. Every actor played the role in such a way that they all fitted perfectly
— Sam Arnold (@Sam15jane71) January 4, 2023
3. A Man Called Otto
One of the best films I’ve seen in ages ,not all about the special fx but a really good story with characters you care about and made me very emotional at times @tomhanks was incredible as were all the supporting cast and yes that includes the beautiful cat
— Nigel Craft (@CraftyNigel) January 5, 2023
4. Plane
It was an incredible film, very scary though and it certainly met my expectations of what I enjoy in a plane crash film very similar to Flight and Sully. @GerardButler was a true man on a mission throughout the duration! The story is very well written! Score: 9/10! Grade: A! βοΈπ¨βοΈ
— James Acraman (@JamesAcraman) January 17, 2023
5. Unwelcome
It kinda went from a gritty home invasion to a parody of ’Banshees of Inisherin’ before hitting peak B movie ππ
— Heather Mary Brown (@HMaryBrown) January 24, 2023
6. The Whale
Really heavy (but brilliant) film. It was dark, hard-hitting, thought-provoking, powerful, emotional and beautifully acted. There were a lot of tears in my screening! Will certainly be on my mind for a while. #TheWhale #TheWhaleMovie

7. What's Love Got To Do With It?
An absolutely perfect Valentine’s Day watch. Cast are all great! Unique plot too. A pleasant surprise.
— Nathan (@NathanBDViews) February 14, 2023
8. Missing
Excellent film, it had me at the trailer and the film certainly didn’t disappoint in the slightest, kept me thinking how it was going to play out and with the twists it kept it really engaging. Expect the unexpected sums it up, solid marks from me and worth a watch.
— Daniel (@iiBainzyy) February 1, 2023
9. The Son
cut too close to home for me, Nicholas' difficulty articulating his feelings, and his parents' difficulty trying to relate. felt stagier than The Father, but still very impactful and beautiful. not sure i could watch it again, but glad i was able to see it.

11. Champions
A fun filled movie, wasn't expecting so many laugh out loud moments, certainly gave my chuckle muscles a good workout. Will have to see it again when it gets its release. Thanks for another evening out.
— Blazing Minds (@BlazingMinds) March 6, 2023
12. Allelujah
Very emotional, really current. Amazing movie, extremely important issues addressed. It's going to really touch many people in many different ways.
— Nita B Khatri (@scorpionrush) March 7, 2023
13. Pearl
An incredibly multilayered horror film. It tackles striving for the ultimate success (The Hollywood Dream) and it is an emotive piece on mental health with regards to feeling trapped psychologically. Mia Goth is spellbindingly riveting. The monologue and credits are phenomenal.
— Matt The Critic (@matt_the_critic) March 14, 2023
14. Rye Lane
Dare I say best film of the year so far? Really good vibrant fun. Had its own distinctive sense of humour & some smart directorial choices as well as a central couple you couldn’t help rooting for.
— The Fourth Dimension (@Mike_J_Lord) March 15, 2023
Reminded me of 2021’s Pirates & 2015’s Man Up, it was short sassy & hilarious
15. Night of the 12th
really moving film - sobering how easy it is for these crimes to go unsolved, and horrible how endemic the problem of male violence against women is. showed the human toll on everyone, and how painful hope can be. gonna stay with me for a while.
— ObiMoo πππ (@_ObiMoo) March 27, 2023
16. Air
Genuinely one of the best films you will see this year! Stellar cast, class soundtrack and such a great story! 3 pointer, Slam Dunk, from downtown! Absolutely nailed! #AIR
— Gareth Sparrowhawk (@hawkhawkster) March 29, 2023
17. The Pope's Exorcist
Really enjoyed this one tonight, as far as I know this is my first time going to an Unlimited Screening and I’ve been a member almost a year and a half now. Loads of fun and a good horror movie.
— Graeme Guthrie (@GUTHRIEGRAEME) April 6, 2023
18. Cairo Conspiracy
Definitely an engaging and thought provoking film, corruption bleeds from all places even those that have best intentions and a student of his faith discovers what that truly means.
— ProPhysicalmedia (@ProPhysical_m) April 11, 2023
8/10 great performances and story and the score was fantastic, please arrange for more of these…
19. The Three Musketeers D'Artagnan
Thoroughly enjoyed it, can't wait to see Part II, but I will definitely be seeing Part I again... Peut-être en France ce week-end avec ma copine π€ Un pour tous et tous pour un βοΈ
— Benjamin Martin Savage (@Scary_Ben) April 19, 2023
20. Polite Society
Great fun, reminded me of the tone and cartoon physics of Scott Pilgrim. Really interesting characters, so colourful and great to see a female-led action film enjoying itself like this. Thanks for the early screening
— Peter Sisson (@velvetcactus198) April 24, 2023
21. Big George Foreman
Really good boxing movie. As a boxing fan I really enjoyed it.
— ππ¬ππ£ (@owen02_) April 27, 2023
22. Love Again
It was a really good film overall! It definitely told a wonderful heartwarming story, the jokes were perfectly well timed, the whole cast and crew were amazing including @celinedion! The story was very well written, the film was really well shot! Overall Score: 8.3/10! Grade: A-!
— James Acraman (@JamesAcraman) May 8, 2023
23. The Eight Mountains
Wow that was something else. What a story that had all the emotions, breathtaking scenery and sound. Absolutely amazing 10/10
— gavtom1986 (@gavtom1986) May 9, 2023
24. Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret
My preferred funny heart-warming type of movie. Great from Abby Ryder Fortson who seems to fit the role perfectly. A well written script that has the humour in all the right places. Highly Recommended π
— Rupa (@ItsMeRups) May 10, 2023
25. Hypnotic
It was very interesting. You thought you knew what was happening then another twist appeared π
— SiDude (@SiDude00) May 15, 2023
26. Beau is Afraid
Message conveyed through this film is so deep and detail. Absolutely loved Phoenix’s stunning performance.
— Sudheer Kumar Sindavalam (@SudheerExplorer) May 16, 2023
27. Sisu
Loved it. A brilliant mix of films such as ‘Valhalla Rising’, ‘Mandy’, ‘Inglorious Basterds’, and ‘John Wick’
— Kate J (@katej1984) May 17, 2023
Would highly recommend to people when it fully comes out.
28. The Machine
I haven't laughed like I did during a movie since I saw #Deadpool
— Rupa (@ItsMeRups) May 25, 2023
This was absolutely hilarious and cringe and gross and so worth watching! #TheMachine
29. War Pony
Brilliant movie, so compelling and heartbreaking. Jojo Bapteise Whiting & LaDainian Crazy Thunder were amazing. Especially loved Bill’s defiance & the perseverance of all the characters. It’s beautifully shot too.
— Colleen (@Colleeena) June 6, 2023
30. No Hard Feelings
I really enjoyed it and found it to be a wildly entertaining comedy with Jennifer Lawrence delivering one of her funniest performances yet. pic.twitter.com/T4yTKWpwG9
— Katie (@katieisafilmfan) June 19, 2023
31. Smoking Causes Coughing
I studied French Cinema at uni, hated it, swore never to watch a French film again. Silly university me! Smoking Causes Coughing was probably the most I laughed at the cinema this year.
— Cage Fighting (@CageFightingPod) July 5, 2023
So glad @cineworld gave us this Unlimited screening.
David's review sums it perfectly. https://t.co/XXLtSnOqkM
32. Gran Turismo
also! saw an unlimited screening of gran turismo and it was so good, like i thought i’d like even tho i’m not into racing and stuff but omg it was one of the most enjoyable i’ve seen in cinemas this year
— lauren (@noacflauren) August 10, 2023
33. The Blackening
Really good! Some decent laughs, great characters, and ran through (with tongue firmly in cheek) pretty much every horror movie cliché! Scream meets Cabin In The Woods. Would definitely recommend πΏ
— Alex B Cann (@alexbcann) August 15, 2023
34. Theatre Camp
One of the best films I’ve seen this year honestly! I was laughing all the way through and the story really resonated. The core actors blew it out of the water (you can tell they’re close off camera) along with insane off the charts talent from the kids. Thought it was fantastic!
— Jess Kebbell (@JessKebbell) August 22, 2023
35. Cobweb
Like a postmodern fairy tale. Very atmospheric and both Lizzy Caplan & Anthony Starr were wonderfully creepy . Thought I knew where it was going then they pulled the rug out from under me! Enjoyed it far more than I expected.
— The Fourth Dimension (@Mike_J_Lord) August 29, 2023
36. Past Lives
Absolutely stunning. Beautiful cinematography and score and those performances were outstanding. That final walk back got me. It'll definitely be one I'll rewatch and think about for a long time, highly recommended.
— Jen (@Jenn_fer_A) August 28, 2023
37. Dumb Money
Really enjoyed this screening of #DumbMoney it's got plenty of unexpected laughs, a great cast, fascinating story and great soundtrack as well. May just have to go see it again.
— Blazing Minds (@BlazingMinds) September 18, 2023
38. Blackberry
I was genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed it. I’ve worked in telecoms for most of the last 20 years and it was great to see a relatively niche subject matter (ie the tech side of it) that I actually understood.
— Kate J (@katej1984) October 2, 2023
An excellent, engaging film. In my top 5 for 2023
39. Sumotherhood
Really good! I need to see it again with subtitles though as, and this might just be my ears, sometimes it was hard to tell what they were saying. Just so happy to see Adam Deacon back on his feet and happy. The bank scene is the hardest I've laughed in a long time. 7/10.
— Peter Fletcher (@PeterFletcher27) October 11, 2023
40. Cat Person
really liked that - it could almost have been a prequel to Promising Young Woman, but the tone shifts from horror to drama to comedy amplified the minefield of dating, especially for women. difficult message to get across while still entertaining, but kudos to Susanna Fogel.
— it'll be Obi this christmas (@_ObiMoo) October 23, 2023
41. Dream Scenario
Nic Cage gets his own Being John Malkovich moment in this none-more A24 release. He does a great job in a difficult role. An excellent but strange film.
— Peter Sisson (@velvetcactus198) November 4, 2023
42. Bottoms
Very funny, Rachel Sennott is a real star and the whole thing was brilliantly crazy and unpredictable. The scatological comedy is back in a big way this year with this, No Hard Feelings & Joy Ride, and the girls are absolutely bossing it.
— The Fourth Dimension (@Mike_J_Lord) October 31, 2023
43. Saltburn
Really enjoyed it, great cast and performances that added to the intrigue of the story. The cinematography looked perfectly framed in the 4:3 aspect ratio. #Saltburn is certainly a film that I'll gladly watch again.
— Blazing Minds (@BlazingMinds) November 8, 2023
44. Godzilla Minus One
Another great night out at @Cineworld as we bring you our thoughts on #CineworldUnlimited Screening of #GodzillaMinusOne https://t.co/sG2FtzM1H0 pic.twitter.com/9rkmkjX6ep
— Blazing Minds (@BlazingMinds) December 12, 2023
45. The Three Musketeers: Milady
46. One Life
Incredibly powerful. I haven’t cried so much over a film in ages. From Nicolas Winton’s first visit to the Prague refugees to that memorable moment in the TV studio I didn’t stop sobbing.
— The Fourth Dimension (@Mike_J_Lord) December 17, 2023
47. Ferrari
A really good film, the cast was amazing, Adam Driver & Penelope Cruise's acting was phenomenal. A rolecoaster of mixed emotions, as it was a deep, sad & shocking story, didn't know that Enzo Ferrari's life was like that! Sad that he was married but wasn't happy &
— DWAYNE JOHNSON (@DWAYNEJ89432) December 19, 2023
48. Priscilla
It was really interesting, quite shocking at the same time but there again this side of the story is from Priscilla Presley. It's very well acted, @CaileeSpaeny gave a phenomenal performance as Priscilla Presley and same with Jacob Elordi as Elvis. Overall Score: 9/10! Grade: A!
