April is nearly upon us and that means we're rounding up all your essential movies for Easter and beyond. Journeys into the Mushroom Kingdom, revisionist Dracula stories – it's all there on the big screen at Cineworld.

March 31st:
Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves
Yes, the all-action board game adaptation technically opens in March. But the movie's opening weekend coincides with the start of April, promising to cast magic on your pre-Easter moviegoing. An all-star cast led by Chris Pine anchors this extravagant take on the classic Dungeons and Dragons gaming property, as the far-off landscape of Neverworld comes under threat from a deadly menace.
Who could possibly resist a movie that mashes up Captain Kirk with high fantasy and a scene-stealing Hugh Grant? The environment of Dungeons and Dragons is tailor-made for the big screen, so it's only appropriate that the movie comes at you in all big-screen formats: IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, Superscreen and ViP.
April 5th:
The Super Mario Bros Movie (IMAX, 4DX, Superscreen, ViP)
Nintendo's gaming icon bursts onto the big screen in a variety of dazzling formats. Chris Pratt's Mario teams with Anya Taylor-Joy's kick-ass Princess Peach to battle Jack Black's villainous Bowser in a visually exuberant CGI animation that is stuffed with references to Mario lore.
So, how will you choose to play? In the expansive environment of IMAX, complete with fully integrated digital surround sound? Via the multisensory effects and moving seats of Cineworld exclusive 4DX? AIR (Superscreen)
The inspirational true story of the creation of the AIR Jordan trainer now comes to life. Director Ben Affleck reunites with his Good Will Hunting collaborator Matt Damon as the latter plays Nike marketing executive Sonny Vaccaro. His mission: to convince his bosses to sign basketball rookie Michael Jordan to the NBA, in the process crafting the most famous sports shoe in existence.
Superman (45th-anniversary re-release)
The granddaddy of all superhero movies soars back into Cineworld, finding its rightful place on the big screen once again. There are so many iconic elements to Richard Donner's 1978 classic that it's hard to sum them up. From Christopher Reeve's noble yet endearing take on the Man of Steel to John Williams' propulsively exhilarating score and the breakthrough effects during the flight sequences, Superman still makes us believe that a man can fly.
April 7th:
The Pope's Exorcist
There's no sympathy for the devil in the latest ripped-from-the-Vatican-archives chiller. Russell Crowe brings A-list clout to this spooky story of real-life figure Father Gabriele Amorth, the Vatican's chief exorcist and the man who sets the dividing line between good and evil.
April 14th:
Renfield
We've had lots of Dracula stories on the big screen, but never quite like this. The parasitic union between the blood-sucking Count and his brainwashed accomplice Renfield is now reimagined as a blackly comic toxic relationship under the direction of LEGO Batman's Chris MacKay. Nicholas Hoult plays the hapless slave seeking to escape his nefarious master's clutches while the singular Nicolas Cage interprets Dracula as only he knows how.
Assassin Club
An elite assassin is given his final contract and must kill seven people around the world, only to discover the targets are equally skilled assassins hired to kill him. His only shot to survive is to uncover the mastermind behind the deadly plot. Henry Golding, Daniela Melchior, Noomi Rapace and Sam Neill star.
Suzume (subtitled; also available dubbed)
In this visually stunning Japanese animation, a high school girl and a mysterious young man try to prevent a series of disasters across the country. The movie comes from the esteemed filmmaker and manga artist Makoto Shunkai whose 2016 fantasy romance Your Name proved to be a huge commercial hit.
April 21st:
Evil Dead Rise
It's time to pay some disrespect to the (un)dead once again via means of power tools and bloodlust. Sam Raimi's notorious cult horror-comedy The Evil Dead spawned a grisly 2013 remake and we now get the sequel to said remake, in which an apartment is overrun by flesh-eating ghouls. Caught in the middle is one innocent family whose mother has been turned into a terrifying, ravenous monster.
Missing
This is a unique thriller that plays out entirely through the perspective of texts, WhatsApp messages and social media history. Storm Reid plays the young woman whose journey to discover what happened to her mother leads to many shocking revelations. The movie comes from the makers of the hit 2018 thriller Searching, which used app-based devices to similarly suspenseful effect.
April 28th:
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry
This quirky British drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by Rachel Joyce. Homegrown acting stalwart Jim Broadbent plays the titular Harold Fry, an ailing pensioner who sets off across the UK to reconcile with his dying friend.
Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story Of
Follow the remarkable life and times of the legendary George Foreman, from Olympic Gold medalist to World Heavyweight champion, the Rumble in the Jungle fight with Muhammad Ali in Zaire, to finding his faith, retiring, and becoming a preacher.
