New family adventure Wonka invites you to guzzle down a sweet-natured and uplifting adventure that fills in the backstory of chocolatier Willy Wonka.
The versatile Timothée Chalamet sings, dances and transforms into the younger iteration of Roald Dahl's classic character in the latest movie from Paddington filmmaker Paul King. We discover when Wonka fell in love with chocolate and follow his chaotic initial mishaps at setting up his chocolate empire, all underscored by a much-needed message of share and share alike.
The movie looks good enough to eat (and if you're watching in 4DX at Cineworld, good enough to inhale too – click here to find out more). We caught up with actors Paterson Joseph, Matthew Baynton and Tom Davis, who play the hilarious villains Slugworth, Fickelgruber and Bleacher, to discover what it takes to inject hissable pantomime evil into such a gentle story.
We also got the film's talented screenwriter Simon Farnaby, Paul King's cohort on Paddington 2, to spill the cocoa beans on Chalamet's impressive musical skills and what it took to distill the chocolatey essence of Willy Wonka on the big screen for a new audience.
Now that you've watched our scrumdiddlyumptious interviews, it's time to enjoy the main event. Click the link below to book your Wonka tickets. The movie is on release now at Cineworld.
