Swan Lake is one of the best-loved ballets. It’s a spellbinding tale of dark magic and betrayal, about a cursed princess who has to live as a swan by day and a woman by night. In a dazzling, dream-like show, swans glide over a moonlit lake in glamorous tutus. The costumes are breathtaking; soft white feather tutus dotted with crystals look so glamorous.
The heartbreaking, joyful and rousing score was Tchaikovsky’s first for a ballet, which gave him genius credentials. The Royal Opera House ballet has a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes, with every second enchanting.
