One of the many benefits of being a Cineworld Unlimited member is that you get invited to regular preview screenings, meaning you can see some of the latest movies before anyone else. The most recent of these screenings came on Wednesday, when the new historical action film Sisu was shown at Cineworld. Directed by Jalmari Helander (Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale, Big Game), this English-Finnish movie stars Jorma Tommila as a battle-hardened Second World War commando who goes on the rampage after a group of Nazis steal his gold.
Sisu goes on general release at Cineworld cinemas on May 26, but what can you expect when you take your seat? To give you an idea, here's a selection of tweets from Unlimited members who came to see it...
This film fan loved Sisu, feeling that it captured the essence of some action classics.
Loved it. A brilliant mix of films such as ‘Valhalla Rising’, ‘Mandy’, ‘Inglorious Basterds’, and ‘John Wick’

Would highly recommend to people when it fully comes out.
This Unlimited member also wrote a positive review, and was another to draw comparisons with an action masterpiece.
Fantastically funny and violent. Hoping this may coax people to watch the equally brilliant Rare Exports.

This person had a thoroughly enjoyable evening, and all thanks to his Cineworld Unlimited membership.
Absolutely unbelievable in almost every sense, but ridiculously fun. You cannot go wrong with a revenge movie following a man and his dog. We know this from John Wick!

This Unlimited member praised the lead actor and the quality of the stunts.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. A romping 90 minute carnage fuelled fest with a remarkable screen presence of Tommila. The underwater and landmine sequences are expertly choreographed. Final stunt is far fetched but it eloquently maintains a breakneck pace. A superb ending.

Some of the scenes were difficult viewing for this film fan, but she enjoyed the movie nonetheless.
SISU was bananas - I struggled with some of the violence and it definitely clocked up a major vegan warning, but it was good fun with a brilliant physical performance from Jorma Tommila.

And finally, this Unlimited member applauded the film but felt that the advisory at the beginning was unnecessary.
Thought it was fantastic, not sure we really needed the subtitle warning though. There were about 10 words in Finnish.
