It's been a very long wait, but your patience is about to pay off: Cineworld cinemas are re-opening on the 19th May, restoring the magic of the big-screen experience.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we've rounded up all of the movies that will be showing once we re-open. The below list doesn't just contain new theatrical releases – it also showcases some special big-screen debuts of existing blockbusters...
NEW FILMS
1. Peter Rabbit 2 (opens 19th May)
James Corden is back to voice the irrepressible bunny Peter in this continuation of Beatrix Potter's beloved stories. In the first Peter Rabbit blockbuster, the titular Peter got into trouble with farmer Thomas McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson). This time, Peter gets a taste of the high-life in the big city – but is he really ready to turn his back on McGregor's garden and the bucolic charm of country life?

2. Those Who Wish Me Dead (opens 19th May)
Taylor Sheridan is one of Hollywood's finest screenwriters, having penned the acclaimed Sicario (2015) and Hell or High Water (2016). In 2017, he made his directorial debut with the elegiac Wind River. He now steps back behind the camera for this compelling thriller, adapted by Michael Koryta from his book of the same name. Angelina Jolie brings the star-power as a troubled forest fire-fighter who must protect a young boy from two ruthless assassins, all the while as a Montana conflagration burns out of control.

3. The Unholy (opens 19th May)
'When God builds a church, the Devil builds a chapel next door.' Unholy evil is unleashed in this adaptation of the late James Herbert's Shrine. The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays a cynical journalist (is there any other kind?) who becomes embroiled in an increasingly bizarre and terrifying story of apparent possession.

4. Maya the Bee: The Golden Orb (opens 19th May)
When Maya, a headstrong little bee, and her best friend Willi, rescue an ant princess they find themselves in the middle of an epic bug battle that will take them to strange new worlds and test their friendship to its limits.

5. Spiral: From the Book of Saw (opens 19th May)
Another round of grisly games ensues in this spin-off from the hugely successful Saw franchise. Chris Rock and Max Minghella play the two cops who become embroiled in the actions of a murderous psychopath – do they have a connection with the legacy of the notorious Jigsaw killer? Samuel L. Jackson brings added star power and Saw series veteran Darren Lyn Bousman steers everything from behind the camera. Don't be afraid to hide behind your popcorn during this one...

BIG-SCREEN DEBUTS
1. Raya and the Last Dragon (opens 19th May)
How about a one-way ticket into an extraordinary fantasy world? That's key to the magic and charm of Disney animation Raya and the Last Dragon, which fuses an empowering message with lushly enveloping visuals. In the mist-strewn landscape of Kumandra, brave warrior Raya (Kelly Marie Tran) must seek out the last dragon to restore balance to the fractious patchwork of warring tribes. Only the titular, motor-mouthed Sisu (Awkwafina) isn't quite what Raya was expecting, setting in motion an adventure that's as funny as it is soul-stirring.

2. Godzilla vs Kong (opens 19th May)
Witness the clash of these monstrous movie icons on the biggest Cineworld screen you can find. The latest instalment in the Warner Bros. 'MonsterVerse' pits Godzilla vs King Kong in the grudge match to define them all. Director Adam Wingard (The Guest) revels in the mayhem, so just be careful not to spill your popcorn along the way.

3. Mortal Kombat (opens 19th May)
Fatality takes on a whole new meaning in the latest big-screen iteration of the video-game classic, Mortal Kombat. MMA fighter Cole Young seeks out Earth's greatest champions in order to stand against the enemies of Outworld in a high-stakes battle for the universe. There will be carnage as much-loved characters slice their way onto a screen near you.

4. Tom & Jerry: The Movie (opens 19th May)
Who could possibly resist a cinema reunion with these two warring favourites? Nostalgics rejoice as Tom and Jerry: The Movie mixes up the traditional Hanna Barbera animated set-up with live-action.

5. Judas and the Black Messiah (opens 19th May)
Witness Daniel Kaluuya's Oscar-winning performance as Black Panther leader Fred Hampton on the big screen where it belongs. This riveting, fact-based drama pairs Kaluuya with Lakeith Stanfield (Get Out) for an archetypal story of guilt and betrayal, which plays out against the racially broiling scene of 1960s America.

6. Nomadland (opens 19th May)
Frances McDormand received her third Best Actress Oscar for her engrossing performance in this thoughtful drama. She plays Fern, a recently widowed, former school teacher who embraces an off-grid, nomadic lifestyle in the American interior. Director Chloé Zhao seamlessly interweaves this fictional narrative with appearances from real-life nomads whose remarkable experiences are relayed within the tapestry of the film.
