Cineworld Ashford has completed the first stage of its refurbishment. The venue today unveiled its thrilling wraparound ScreenX auditorium, which coincides with the release of The Batman, the exciting new DC epic starring Robert Pattinson in the title role.
ScreenX will immerse viewers within the world of The Batman with Gotham City’s skyline surrounding you in your seat. ScreenX expands the traditional cinema screen to the sidewalls of the auditorium, creating a 270-degree viewing experience for the audience.
The innovative technology uses an array of projectors and with proprietary ScreenX software, blends multiple images into one seamless image extending extra footage from the central screen out onto the side walls.
Strategically placed audio systems and speakers are also placed around the room to complete the immersive viewing experience. ScreenX at Cineworld Ashford will be Cineworld’s 21st ScreenX.
The updated venue will also feature refurbished standard screens with new seats, a brand new onsite Starbucks and a complete transformation of the foyer and concessions stands where customers can purchase a selection of their favourite movie snacks.

Cineworld Unlimited cardholders can enjoy access to Unlimited screenings, unlimited movies for just £18.40 per month. The Unlimited card also gives members 10% off cinema snacks and drinks (including onsite Starbucks) and a free tastecard, which gives you 50% off or 2 for 1 meals at thousands of restaurants.
