Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page is very much on the up and up. Just recently, he was touted as a potential new James Bond. And now, Deadline confirms he's signed on for The Gray Man, the new movie from Avengers: Endgame and Cherry filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo.
Just goes to show that looking dashing in a cravat can open a lot of doors in Hollywood. Even so, we won't necessarily be expecting saucy period drama antics from the Russo's new movie. The film is adapted from Mark Greaney's 2009 novel about a CIA agent turned killer who is stalked across the globe by one of his former compatriots.
The pedigree in this one is especially good. The script comes from Endgame writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (they also worked with the brothers on Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War). And then there's the cast.
Captain America himself, Chris Evans, will be starring alongside Blade Runner 2049's Ryan Gosling, and No Time To Die's Ana De Armas. They will be joined the aforementioned Regé-Jean Page, plus 12 Years a Slave's Alfre Woodward and Fargo's Billy Bob Thornton. That's one heck of a line-up.
It sounds like we can expect the tense paranoia of The Winter Soldier to meld with the sweep of Endgame. Fingers crossed this will make for a satisfying and star-studded experience. The Gray Man is set to begin filming imminently so tweet us @Cineworld with your thoughts on the news.
