The Bride! will be walking down the aisle in IMAX, 4DX, and Superscreen at Cineworld

Jesse Buckley is the Bride and Christian Bale is Frankenstein, in The Bride!, a wild, rebellious and – honestly – quite touching tale from Maggie Gyllenhaal, out on 6th March. This ultra-stylised movie has been Filmed for IMAX in mind. Every scar, every shaky breath, every vulnerable moment between this strange pair feels even more intense when it’s seen on a giant screen.

They say that if you really want to see a film, see it in IMAX. Why not see for yourself and give one of the spectacular screens at Cineworld a try? If you don’t know how to choose between IMAX, 4DX or Superscreen format then read on, and we’re here to shed some light…

Watch The Bride! on a monster IMAX screen

We don’t just love watching a film at the giant IMAX screen for the big set pieces; it’s for the details too, which leap out at you from the enormous screen. Every scar on Frankenstein’s face, every flicker of emotion between the monstrous-looking couple is magnified, bringing those smaller, just-as-important moments to life.

Details of the sets and locations are incredible too, from the lab's tubes and wires as the bride is revived to the grainy atmosphere of the film’s 1930s Chicago setting.

Come alive with a sensory experience at 4DX

The Bride! is an atmospheric film, and 4DX ramps it up. It’s not called extreme sensory cinema for nothing. If there’s a sudden jolt, you’ll feel it. The electrifying resurrection moment of wires sparking and a newly dug-up body on the table will be felt through the auditorium.

Car chases, gunshots, anything that can be felt, you’ll feel it as well as see and hear it. You’ll go to duck as you hear a whistle of bullets. And you’ll have to stop yourself from shouting, "Put your pedal to the metal, Frank!"

Hear the shots and screams ring out in Superscreen

Frank and the bride strut their crazy stuff at the dancehall, the music properly pulsating as you catch every detail in the room. When the chase scenes kick in, your heart will be pounding, the sound of shots is dynamic and dramatic without ever losing that punk energy the film leans into.

The clear, vivid picture from the laser projection heightens the film's overall stylised, theatrical feel. And with wall-to-wall screen and a Dolby sound field, you'll be fully immersed and able to experience the film on a whole new level.
