The 2024 Super Bowl has officially wrapped up, and as per tradition, it's unleashed a blitzkrieg of trailers for your viewing pleasure.

1. The Fall Guy (released May 3rd)
Space cowboys! Shirtless Ryan Gosling! Ice crimes! Emily 'motherf*****g' Blunt! As its brand-new trailer proudly declares, The Fall Guy really does have everything.
The new Super Bowl teaser reveals more of the action-comedy's anarchic tone. Gosling plays self-assured stuntman Colt Seavers whose off-set inability to deal with a dangerous conspiracy reveals him to be a complete fish out of water.
Colt's incompetence is milked for equal parts laughs and thrills as he threatens to spark up an old romance with Blunt's no-nonsense director Jody Moreno.
The Fall Guy is directed by David Leitch and it certainly bears all the hallmarks of the man who made Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train: neon-streaked action, outrageous punch-ups and absurd humour occurring amid bullet-ridden action.
Plus, the end of the trailer has a great Taylor Swift joke that makes us recall all the times we ugly-cried to 'All Too Well'. Check out the trailer below.
2. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (released May 10th)
The recent Planet of the Apes trilogy is arguably one of the finest in cinema history. It began with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, continued with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and powerfully concluded with War for the Planet of the Apes as it unspooled the saga of genetically-engineered simian Caesar (Andy Serkis).
At the climax of War, Caesar passed on and bequeathed the gift of freedom to his intelligent ape community. It was a fine and noble end for a character who had been through a lot. Now, we jump ahead many thousands of years to explore the destiny of Caesar's ancestors in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
Owen Teague plays our new ape hero Cornelius who must battle a dangerous new ape insurgency that's being led by warring bonobo Proximus Caesar (Kevin Durand). Proximus' harsh rule has seen humans subjugated and enslaved to the apes, and Cornelius teams up with the outcast young girl Nova (Freya Allen) to restore balance between two species.
The director of The Maze Runner Wes Ball is at the helm of this spectacular-looking legacy sequel. Once again, the photo-realistic CG effects are in full force, informing our ape protagonists and antagonists with a breathtaking range of expressivity.
There's also the distinct sense that this movie is about to bridge the gap between the events of the Andy Serkis trilogy with the events of the original Planet of the Apes series, which began in 1968 with the Charlton Heston classic.
3. Twisters (released July 19th)
Back in 1996, the original Twister broke new ground in its breathtaking depiction of seriously wild weather. The late Bill Paxton paired with Helen Hunt in Jan de Bont's story of daredevil storm chasers who must deal with rampaging funnel clouds and their own tempestuous emotions.
Twister was Oscar-nominated for its visual effects and sound and was a massive box-office success. Nearly 30 years on, we're getting a legacy sequel starring Top Gun: Maverick and Anyone But You star Glen Powell.
The story? Well, Powell is a storm-chaser, there's all the rampant big-screen destruction one would expect – and, as the title of the movie implies, there's not one twister but two to contend with on this occasion.

4. Deadpool and Wolverine (released July 26th)
It's official: Deadpool 3 is titled Deadpool and Wolverine. It cements what we've all been feverishly anticipating: Ryan Reynolds' anti-hero is making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut opposite Hugh Jackman's hirsute former X-Men.
How this is going to play out is a mystery, one that the new Super Bowl trailer only alludes to. Outside of his spandex, Reynolds' Wade Wilson has reconciled with Vanessa and all appears to be going well – until he's apprehended by Matthew McFadyen's mysterious bigwig and drawn back into the fold.
The best glimpse we get of Jackman's Wolverine is a clawed silhouette as he stands over the prone Deadpool. Wolverine's mystery appearance will no doubt be fleshed out in future trailers – lest we forget he died at the end of 2017's Logan, so we're imagining this is some kind of multiversal trickery.
Again, the trailer doesn't make it too obvious, but that's a good thing because it allows us to focus on what Deadpool does best: filthy humour, potshots at his corporate overlords (Disney doesn't get off lightly) and glimpses of violent mayhem.
We've all been wondering if Deadpool's debut in the Disney-distributed MCU might lead to his edges being sanded down. On the basis of this trailer, absolutely not.
5. Wicked (released November 29th)
When we say Broadway smash Wicked has been a success, we're understating things a bit. It's currently the second-highest-grossing musical production of all time, having stormed it on Broadway, the West End and beyond. So, it's safe to say there's an appetite for the upcoming movie adaptation, which arrives in time for Christmas.
Who could ask for more? Wicked is set in the time before Dorothy Gale set foot in the land of Oz and it recaps the origin story of the infamous Wicked Witch of the West. Before she became the witch who terrorised the citizens of Oz, the Wicked Witch went by the name of Elphaba Thropp, and she's played by actor Cynthia Erivo.
As if the musical pedigree couldn't get any better Ariana Grande plays Elphaba's angelic sister Glinda Upland, later to become Glinda the Good Witch. The impressive cast is further bulked out by Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible and everyone's favourite quirk-meister Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz.
Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu has the formidable task of wrangling Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz's rousing show tunes into the big-screen format. Wicked? We're imagining it'll be nothing less than awesome.
