Every Thursday at 7PM UK time, they will be releasing one NT Live title on the National Theatre’s YouTube channel that can be watched for free, on-demand for seven days only.

What is the story of Small Island?
The complex and storied history between the UK and Jamaica is put on display in Helen Edmundson's adaptation of Andrea Levy's novel. Small Island is being released via National Theatre At Home to coincide with Windrush Day 2020, and intertwines three different stories across several decades. Career aspirations and dreams of escape fuel this provocative and thought-provoking production that has much to say about the present-day state of affairs.
How was Small Island received?
The Guardian graced this 2019 Olivier Theatre production with five stars, describing is as "One of the most important plays of the year. Superb production. Outstanding performances. Andrea Levy’s epic makes momentous theatre."
