Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan are a delightful, mismatched duo in feelgood comedy-drama Military Wives, which Cineworld Unlimited members get to watch in advance this February.
The movie is inspired by the true story of the first-ever women's military choir. The movie comes from director Peter Cattaneo, no stranger to heartwarming British comedies having steered The Full Monty to enormous success back in 1997.
Four Weddings' Scott Thomas plays the prim and proper Kate, whose son has been killed in the conflict in Afghanistan; meanwhile, her husband continues to serve in the country. She clashes with the somewhat more laid back Lisa (Catastrophe's Horgan) about how to entertain the wives of the men currently serving overseas – until she hits on the idea of forming a choir. This turns out to be the ideal solution in bringing everyone together in an atmosphere of fun and healing.
