Denis Villeneuve's staggering sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two has been designed with the IMAX experience in mind. Villeneuve and cinematographer Greig Fraser have said that virtually all of the movie has been shot with IMAX cameras, as confirmed in this clip here.
In Fraser's words, it allows them "to capture the biggest image possible." IMAX adds up to 26% more picture, allowing you to see, sense and feel even more as the mystical canvas of Dune: Part Two unfolds in front of you.
IMAX further emboldens the destiny of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) as he becomes the reluctant messiah and leads the Arrakis Fremen to victory atop the sandworms.
The scale of the movie is already massive. Combine the film's inherent properties with those of IMAX and Arrakis becomes even more wondrously tactile and tangible, from the swirling spice particles in the Arrakis air to the vivid blue hue of the Water of Life, which portends a cataclysmic change in the known universe.
