Horrible Histories The Movie: Rotten Romans
What's the story?
Who are the Celts? What have the Romans ever done for us? And why is Emperor Nero dousing himself in horse wee? Friends, Romans, Celts... Lend us your ears. The all-conquering Romans rule the civilised world – and that includes 'the stain' that is Britain. While the young Emperor Nero must battle his scheming mother Agrippina for ultimate power, Celt queen Boudicca gathers an army in Britain to repel the rotten Romans. Mixed up in this battle for liberation are the teenage Atti, a reluctant Roman soldier, and Orla, a young Celt with dreams of becoming a warrior like Boudicca. Will they fall on opposite sides or forge a friendship in the chaos of Celtic-inspired rebellion?

The Current War
What's the story? THE CURRENT WAR, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the great American inventor Thomas Edison and Michael Shannon as his rival, revered entrepreneur, George Westinghouse, will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on Friday 26 July. Fuelled by the intense rivalry between electricity titans Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse, THE CURRENT WAR tells the dramatic story of the late 19th century race to light up America and power the world. Rounding out the cast are Nicholas Hoult as the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla, Katherine Waterston as Westinghouse's outspoken wife Marguerite, Tom Holland as Edison's confident young secretary Samuel Insull, Matthew Macfadyen as the famous financier and banker J.P. Morgan, and Tuppence Middleton as Edison's supportive wife Mary.

The Intruder (limited release)
What's the story? When a young married couple (Michael Ealy and Meagan Good) buys their dream house in the Napa Valley, they think they have found the perfect home to take their next steps as a family. But when the strangely attached seller (Dennis Quaid) continues to infiltrate their lives, they begin to suspect that he has hidden motivations beyond a quick sale.

Judgemental Hai Kya (Hindi)
What's the story? Judgementall Hai Kya is an intriguing thriller filled with ounces of humor. The film is a thrilling journey of Bobby Batliwala Garewal who is a deadly concoction of half Parsi half Punjabi genes. She has very few friends and her bouts of funny, odd behaviour often drives people away and sometimes even draws them close. Life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Keshav and the incidents that follow is going to crumble their world. The film gears from India to London following a cat and mouse chase between them. It's a quirky, uplifting and gripping thriller that is sure to keep you hooked at the edge of your seats.

Arjun Patiala (Hindi)
What's the story?
Arjun Patiala (Diljit Dosanjh) has recently been initiated into the police service. A man who has spent most of his early life disciplining himself in Judo and getting into the forces now decides it's time to take it easy! We quickly realise Arjun Patiala's quirks - That he is fond of women, and even fonder of his drink! But his quirky, original and unusual ideas help him reduce the crime rate in the city without even moving a finger. Along the way Arjun falls for a firebrand news reporter – Ritu Randhawa (Kriti Sanon) who might pull the curtain on his deeds! A laugh riot film, Arjun Patiala will leave you in splits. RSC Live 2019: Measure for Measure (Wednesday 31st July, 7pm)

'To whom should I complain?' - When a young novice nun is compromised by a corrupt official, who offers to save her brother from execution in return for sex, she has no idea where to turn for help. When she threatens to expose him, he tells her that no one would believe her. Shakespeare wrote this play in the early 1600s, yet it remains astonishingly resonant today. Artistic Director, Gregory Doran, directs this new production.p>

Balance, Not Symmetry: Biffy Clyro acoustic set plus live Q&A (Thursday 1st August, 7.30pm)

A special presentation of Jamie Adams' feature Balance, Not Symmetry is followed by an exclusive short acoustic set from the film's soundtrack artist Biffy Clyro, and a cast Q and A featuring Laura Harrier and Bria Vinaite. --- After her father's funeral, American student Caitlin (Laura Harrier) leaves her grieving mother (Kate Dickie) behind to return to her third-year studies at the Glasgow School of Art. There she juggles her grief and end-of-year presentation with meeting a new guy, Rory (Scott Miller), and a rupture in her relationship with her housemate and BFF Hannah (Bria Vinaite).
