Infectious, rip-roaring adventure Shazam! casts off years of DC gloom to depict every comic book fan's dream: what would it be like to become a superhero?
This latest instalment of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) owes more to the bravado of Wonder Woman and Aquaman than the dark, toiling Batman v Superman. It stars Asher Angel as teenage orphan Billy Batson who is granted the ability to transform into a caped, invulnerable superhero. All he has to do is utter the name of said figure: shazam!
The title character is brought to endearing life by Chuck and Tangled star Zachary Levi, who brilliantly nails the essence of a 14 year old kid encased within an adult's body. We were delighted to catch up with Zachary to discuss the movie and his character – check it out below.
