Oscar nominee Keira Knightley breaks down gender barriers in this month's vibrant costume drama Colette, which screened in advance last night for Cineworld Unlimited members – our first such screening of 2019.
The movie adapts the true story of French socialite and author Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, who emerged from the shadow of her husband Willy (played by Dominic West) to make a name for herself on the Parisian literary scene.
So what was the response to the movie? Our first Unlimited viewer is David Evans who lauds Knightley's stirring performance.

Andy Findlay is another who compliments Knightley's lead turn.

Cheltenham Cinematic praises the script that touches on a number of topical areas.

Katie says that Knightley and co-star Dominic West play off one another effectively.
I thought that it was really good. Both Keira Knightley and Dominic West gave strong performances and I found Colette’s story to be very interesting.

Anita, however, says she struggled with the film's characters.
I had hopes for this film but it didn't deliver. I found I got quite bored in the middle as I cared nothing for the characters! #CineworldUnlimited

And Karen says the movie could have benefited from a bit more of Colette's signature brio and attitude.
I enjoyed Keira Knightley’s performance but felt the film could have been more outrageous and dynamic. Collette was obviously a determined woman with no inhibitions so the film seemed a little dull to me.

And it doesn't stop there. Batman star Christian Bale undergoes another startling transformation in comedy-drama Vice, the latest from The Big Short director Adam McKay. Bale piles on the pounds in this multi-generational look at the life of influential US vice president Dick Cheney, who served under George W. Bush (Sam Rockwell).
Bale, Rockwell and co-star Amy Adams (who plays Cheney's wife Lynne) have all been Golden Globe nominated for their roles in this intriguing political story.

And finally, your month of Unlimited screenings rolls to a close with twisty M. Night Shyamalan thriller Glass. Fusing the worlds of the director's films Unbreakable and Split, this is unlike any other comic book movie you've seen before.
Unbreakable character David Dunn (Bruce Willis) and his nemesis Elijah Price/Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson) are now under psychiatric observation for believing they are a superhero and super-villain duo. But when the evil Glass enlists the assistance of split personality kidnapper Kevin (James McAvoy), whose 24th personality the Beast is a rage-fuelled monster, the entire world is threatened.
