It's already stormed the American box office, winning over critics in the process, and hit rom-com Crazy Rich Asians screens in advance for Unlimited audiences this Saturday.
Adapted from Kevin Kwan's bestselling, this vibrant offering from director Jon M. Chu has made history for being the first Hollywood movie to feature an all-Asian cast for 25 years. It stars Constance Wu as New Yorker Rachel, who finds herself smitten with the dashing yet enigmatic Nick (Henry Golding). Wanting to know more about him, she accompanies Nick on a visit to his family in Singapore – where she's more than a little surprised to discover he's part of a massively wealthy dynasty, a world in which she most certainly doesn't belong.
Buoyed by its colourful visuals, witty script and attractive, likeable cast (veterans like Michelle Yeoh mix with rising stars like Gemma Chan and Awkwafina), Crazy Rich Asians has proven to be the sleeper hit of the late summer season. So don't miss your chance to watch the movie in advance.
