Unless you've been inhabiting an distant planet in the far reaches of space, you'll have noticed the Captain Marvel trailer launched yesterday.
The 21st movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Captain Marvel is both the penultimate entry in Phase Three of the franchise, and the first to be led by a female superhero.
Oscar-winner Brie Larson is the eponymous hero, an all-powerful being imbued with extraordinary abilities, who harbours vague memories of once being a human Air Force pilot. Samuel L. Jackson returns as Nick Fury, now rendered younger thanks to the miracle of CGI, and the action sequences look spectacular.
